These FREE music note value flashcards are a must-have for any music teacher! I use them all the time in both my whole-class teaching, small group teaching, and one-to-one lessons. I made this set with whole-class teaching in mind as you can make up eight packs.
One way that you could use them is to divide your class into eight groups and give them each a set of cards. You then clap a rhythm and get the students to select the relevant cards and put them in order. They will love the challenge and try to be the first team to get it right. You could start with some easy one-bar rhythms, and then add some two bar rhythms at the end to make it more difficult.
You could also use them for composition/improvisation.
