Are you on the lookout for a fresh, exciting way to teach rhythm? Look no further! This set of Four Beat Rhythm Cards contains 20 four beat rhythms that can be used in a variety of ways, making learning both interactive and enjoyable. They are extremely versatile - you can plan entire lessons around these cards, or just have them to hand if you need to fill five minutes.

Suggested Use
Choose four cards to use in any one lesson. Demonstrate the rhythm and get the class to clap it back. I like to also use ta and ti-ti etc, but it would also work with your preferred rhythm words. Get the students looping the rhythm with a count of four in between each repetition. Once they are comfortable with it, you can move on to the next one.
Once they have got all four rhythms, get four volunteers to come up to the front of the class, and give each student a card to hold up. Get the class to clap the whole rhythm with a count of four in between each card. Once they have this mastered, you can get rid of the rest in between cards.
You can then ask them if they like the order of the cards, or if they would like to swap anyone around. You can have fun with this and the students will enjoy switching it up and trying the new rhythms.
